Dr. Seuss and the Grinch
Monday December 1st, 2014

“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more. “ -Dr. Seuss
As Christmas comes roaring at us, and 2014 comes to a close, I’m sitting in our house, enjoying some quiet time. It always amazes me that Dr. Seuss’ “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” contains so many lessons in the simple language of a children’s book. And yet aren’t the most foundational lessons in life the most simple ones?

As a parent, it’s easy to get wrapped up (no pun intended) in Santa Claus and gift giving. Television, the web and our society, all encourage draining our wallets this time of year. All religious meaning for the holidays aside, isn’t the holiday season really about gifts that can’t be bought and gratitude for the life that each of us has been given?

We have much to be grateful for here. We have a wonderful team, the best patients in the world, and the opportunity to make a difference in many lives. We wish you all the best holiday and joy as we wrap up 2014.
