TMJ Treatment

Temporomandibular joint disorders impact millions of Americans. Causing chronic facial and neck pain, it can make day-to-day life difficult for those who suffer from it.

The temporomandibular joints connect the lower jawbone to the skull. These joints are moving all the time as you eat, speak, swallow, and yawn. When they are injured, movement can be painful and restricted.

Common symptoms of temporomandibular disorder include: :

  • Jaw pain
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Ear pain and stuffiness
  • Frequent headaches and neck aches
  • Noise when the jaw moves
  • Muscle spasms in the jaw
  • Changes in teeth alignment
  • Limited range of motion

If you notice any of these symptoms, contact us to schedule an appointment. We need to determine if you have TMD and will create a customized treatment plan to help manage your symptoms. Keep in mind that this doesn’t necessarily mean wearing braces; we have plenty of options for managing TMD. Contact Snow Orthodontics to learn more.
