Accessibility Statement

Snow Orthodontics is committed to providing a website experience that is accessible to as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities. We believe every person should be able to access information about our practice, locations, doctors, and orthodontic services with dignity, independence, and ease.

We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website and to align our digital experience with applicable accessibility expectations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California nondiscrimination laws, including the Unruh Civil Rights Act. California’s Unruh Act prohibits disability-based discrimination by business establishments in California, and the U.S. Department of Justice has also made clear that businesses open to the public should ensure their websites are accessible.

Our Accessibility Goal

Snow Orthodontics aims to design, develop, and maintain website content in substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which is the current W3C accessibility standard most commonly used to measure website accessibility. WCAG 2.2 is organized around four principles - content should be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust - and includes testable success criteria at Levels A, AA, and AAA.

Accessibility Features

To help support accessibility, the Snow Orthodontics website uses the WebAbility accessibility tool, which provides visitors with additional options to enhance their browsing experience. Depending on site configuration and user needs, this tool may assist with certain visual, reading, or navigation adjustments.

Please note that accessibility tools can be helpful, but they do not replace thoughtful website design, accessible code, keyboard usability, readable content structure, proper alternative text, form accessibility, color contrast, and ongoing testing. For that reason, Snow Orthodontics seeks to improve both the website itself and the tools available to site visitors.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. We are committed to regularly reviewing our website and making reasonable efforts to improve accessibility as content, functionality, standards, and technologies evolve.

Our efforts may include:

  • Reviewing website structure, headings, forms, buttons, links, and navigation
  • Improving keyboard accessibility and screen reader compatibility
  • Evaluating color contrast, text readability, and responsive behavior
  • Reviewing images and media for appropriate text alternatives
  • Monitoring new content and updates for accessibility issues

Need Assistance?

If you have difficulty using any part of our website, need assistance accessing content, or would like to request information in an alternative format, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to assist you.

Third-Party Content

Some parts of the website may rely on third-party tools, platforms, maps, embedded content, scheduling tools, forms, or integrations that are not fully controlled by Snow Orthodontics. While we encourage accessibility from our vendors and partners, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content. We still welcome feedback about any accessibility barriers you encounter so we can review them and, where possible, work toward a better solution.

Feedback

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Snow Orthodontics website. User input helps us improve and better serve all patients, families, and visitors.
